List of captive killer whales in the world (May 2010)

THE NGO “Cetacean Network“ (France) accepted that I put online their list of captive orcas in the world. Very interesting and useful! Also, she sends me back this information:

Please note that this is a 2009 report, which does not include the birth of the Takara killer whale calf born this year. There are not 41 but 42 captive killer whales in the world today. A 2010 version will be updated at the end of the year, with new pictures.

I know this association since 1996, whose director at that time was Brigitte Sifaoui. I had published a small article in their magazine "Réseau-Cétacés" (number 24 on page 26) in 1997, following my experience with wild orcas in my country.
