Dear visitors,
I returned from the Dominican Republic to Canada in May.
After a few days spent in Montreal I went directly to Quebec City. I had to do a mandatory level 2 training (I had the first one) called -Marine Emergency Training - MED A2- in order to navigate on the water. This training is organized by -Transport Canada-, the federal government and the Canadian Coast Guard. My company had asked me to take it, for its insurance and because all the captains who pilot at least 12 passengers, are obliged to obtain it.
Then, I headed north to the village of Bergeronnes near the St. Lawrence River. I started on the water yesterday, in a beautiful sea and a radiant sun. We observed minke whales (Balaenoptera acutorostrata), grey seals (Halichoerus grypus) and beluga (Delphinapterus leucas). The big whales are still discreet. Happy to find my inflatable, to sail the sea and to feel the wind. See you soon on my boat.
Have a good week. Best wishes.
Les Bergeronnes - Quebec, Canada - June 2011.
