Hello to all,
Like every beginning of the month, I compare our dolphin sightings from last year to the same period.
When I look at my June 2008 statistics, I see that they did not take into account :
- The name of the captain
- The duration of the trip
- The number of excursion boats in the pass, ocean or lagoon
- The presence of females, unidentified animals,
- Wave height in the channel, ocean or lagoon
- Behavior in the group
- The number of dive boats in the pass, ocean or lagoon
- Visibility outside the pass
- If we have other marine mammals, the number and behavior
- The identification of species (TT1, TT2, TT3, ....) was not yet noted
However, we can see several things:
- 19 dolphin trips for the month of June 2008
- 15 outflow in Tiputa Pass
- an average of 34.73 minutes of observation
- an average of 6.79 young dolphins encountered
- the output quality is variable between average and good
This information is necessary to know their habits and to be able to talk to our customers on the boat.
Enjoy your reading.
With kind regards.
