I wrote about this in October 2008 on my website, concerning my work with the year-round group of bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops truncatus) in Rangiroa atoll.
After 5 months' work, I was able to identify 19 individuals thanks to the photographs generously donated by divers and enthusiasts.
A study carried out in 2004 by the French Miss Caroline Klein, counted around 35 individuals. However, in comparison, I don't find many similarities.
With the low season running from January to April 2009, I'll have plenty of time to analyze all my work.
