I start my 2012 season on the water next week and already the good news is coming in!
Indeed, no less than 6 fin whales (Balaenoptera physalus) and 3 humpback whales (Megaptera novaeangliae) were observed in front of my house! In the group of whales, some are regulars, Newkie Brown (BP070) and Captain Hook with a calf, pioneer since 1994 !
In the group of humpback whales the famous female Tic Tac Toe with a calf, known since 1999. Already in 2007, it was observed for the first time with a newborn, Aramis. I remember very well having observed it last year. Normally this species arrives later in the season.
Anyway, I can't wait to get back on the water!
