El capit\u00e1n, nuestro barco, para hacer como de costumbre un descenso del paso de Tiputa en PMT (aletas, m\u00e1scara y snorkel). Sinceramente, cuando vi el grupo, pens\u00e9 que ser\u00eda un viaje dif\u00edcil.<\/p><p>En cuanto llegamos al canal del lado del oc\u00e9ano, el capit\u00e1n grit\u00f3 <strong><em>\"Ballena\"<\/em><\/strong> \u00a1! Al principio pens\u00e9 que no era grave, pero ah\u00ed estaba, la ballena jorobada (Megaptera novaeangliae) frente a nosotros.<\/p><p>La seguimos hasta el oc\u00e9ano y luego se dirigi\u00f3 al borde del atol\u00f3n, cerca del arrecife. Nos metimos en el agua con todo el miedo del mundo. S\u00f3lo una persona quiso seguirme y finalmente todos saltaron al agua.<\/p><p>El capit\u00e1n se mantuvo a una distancia prudencial y nos dej\u00f3 nadar suavemente hacia el animal. Estaba jugando en la superficie, solo, muy tranquilo y en apenas 20 metros de agua. Yo llevaba de la mano a dos turistas y los dem\u00e1s se quedaron atr\u00e1s. A medida que nos acerc\u00e1bamos, la ballena permanec\u00eda inm\u00f3vil en la superficie, dos delfines mulares (Tursiops truncatus) jugaban frente a ella y ten\u00edamos un mont\u00f3n de peces a su alrededor. Nos mir\u00f3, se acerc\u00f3 oblicuamente al grupo y luego se alej\u00f3 lentamente. Fueron unos minutos m\u00e1gicos. A\u00fan pod\u00edamos seguirla pero empez\u00f3 a querer adentrarse en el mar.<\/p><p>Lo seguimos en barco y luego regresamos al paso de Tiputa. Me result\u00f3 muy dif\u00edcil concentrarme durante las horas siguientes. Por la noche lo celebr\u00e9 en un bonito restaurante del atol\u00f3n.<\/p><p>Lo hab\u00eda visto en Canad\u00e1, pero nunca bajo el agua. Todos los libros que he le\u00eddo sobre \u00e9l y tantas fotograf\u00edas que he visto. Un sue\u00f1o profundo hecho realidad.<\/p><p>Uno de los turistas ten\u00eda una c\u00e1mara de buceo, deber\u00eda enviarme sus fotos y su peque\u00f1o carrete a finales de agosto de 2009.
